✌️ victory hand Skin Tones — All 5 Variants

The victory hand is peace and victory in two fingers. The 1960s peace movement made the palm-out V universal, and it has stayed a photographic and chat staple ever since. The hand is the whole symbol, so all five skin-tone modifiers are available.

The five variants

Every variant copies exactly like the base character: tap a card and the sequence is on your clipboard, ready to paste anywhere. Skin-tone modifiers (U+1F3FB–U+1F3FF) were added to the standard in Unicode 8.0 (2015). victory hand itself was added in Emoji E0.6 (2010).

Usage and context

It signs off messages as “peace”, celebrates wins as “victory”, and appears in countless selfies. A modified version makes it your two fingers, common in friendly sign-offs, while the yellow default is the neutral peace sign. It also does double duty as the number two in quick lists.

Palm direction matters: in the UK, Ireland and Australia the palm-in version of the V is an insult on the level of the middle finger. The emoji itself is palm-out by default, so it stays safe — the caution is for the real-life gesture.
