✊ raised fist Skin Tones — All 5 Variants

The raised fist is solidarity, strength and resistance. It became a universal symbol of collective power through labor movements and civil-rights imagery, and it still carries that weight today. Because the fist represents a person or a community rather than an abstract idea, the skin-tone choice matters more here than almost anywhere else: the five modifiers turn a generic symbol into a specific statement about who is raising it.

The five variants

Every variant copies exactly like the base character: tap a card and the sequence is on your clipboard, ready to paste anywhere. Skin-tone modifiers (U+1F3FB–U+1F3FF) were added to the standard in Unicode 8.0 (2015). raised fist itself was added in Emoji E0.6 (2010).

Usage and context

It lands in three main ways: support for a cause or a person, determination in sports and fitness posts, and standing with someone through a hard moment. A modified fist reads as personal solidarity, while the default yellow stays a generic symbol of strength. It stacks well with raised-hands and clapping in collective wins, and it appears constantly in campaign and movement hashtags.

Politically charged in some contexts, so the same fist that reads as gym determination can read as protest in another thread. The tone is set by the conversation, not by the emoji itself.
