✋ raised hand Skin Tones — All 5 Variants
The raised hand is stop, high five and “raise your hand” in one open palm. It is the clearest boundary-setting gesture in the emoji set, and the palm is the message, so the five skin-tone modifiers simply show whose hand is up.

Usage and context
It works as a halt sign in conversations, as the classroom hand for “I know this”, and as half of a high five. A modifier makes it your hand raised — common in replies where someone takes a stand — while the yellow version reads as a generic stop sign. It pairs with the back-of-hand version when someone wants both hands up.
Not to be confused with the person-raising-hand emoji, which shows a whole person, or the back-of-hand version. The stop reading is the dominant one in most threads.
