🖐️ hand with fingers splayed Skin Tones — All 5 Variants

The hand with fingers splayed is the open palm at full stretch: a high five, a halt, or the sassy “talk to the hand”. All five fingers show, and with five skin-tone modifiers available the hand becomes whoever is making the gesture.

The five variants

Every variant copies exactly like the base character: tap a card and the sequence is on your clipboard, ready to paste anywhere. Skin-tone modifiers (U+1F3FB–U+1F3FF) were added to the standard in Unicode 8.0 (2015). hand with fingers splayed itself was added in Emoji E0.7 (2014).

Usage and context

It anchors high fives in celebration, stop signs in arguments, and the playful dismissal of a bad take. The modified version is the natural choice when the sender is part of the story — their hand giving the five — while the yellow default stays a neutral symbol of an open hand.

One regional caution: in Greece the palm-forward splayed hand is the traditional “moutza” insult. If the reader is Greek, the same emoji can read as an offense rather than a high five.
