How EmojiSelect handles your data: what we collect and what we don't.
What is stored in your browser
Favorites, recently copied items, your theme choice and a first-visit flag are saved in your browser's localStorage. They stay on your device, are never sent to our servers, and clearing your browser data removes them.

Advertising is off
This deployment serves no third-party advertising script. The ad loader is injected only when the ADSENSE_ENABLED flag is set, and an individual ad unit renders only when a real publisher slot ID is configured for it. When advertising is switched on, slots keep reserved dimensions and are never placed beside the copy buttons or the search box.
Measurement, and what it is allowed to keep
We measure in two ways. Our own endpoint at /api/event records a fixed list of product events — copy, search, result click, favorite, collector — with a normalized query string, the interface locale, a coarse device class and the catalogue id involved. It stores no IP address, no user agent, no cookie and no session id. Google Analytics is loaded only when a measurement ID is configured for the deployment, only on the emojiselect.com host and never for known bots; it runs with advertising consent denied, ads data redaction on, and the query string stripped from every URL it reports. Because the file is served by Google, that request does disclose your IP address to Google.
What we do not collect
No account, no name, no email address, no password, no phone number, no precise location, no cross-site profile, and nothing sold or shared. Nothing you copy leaves your device.
