💅 nail polish Skin Tones — All 5 Variants

Nail polish is self-care, style and a bit of attitude — “getting ready”, “feeling myself”, or a sassy reply. The emoji shows a hand mid-manicure, so skin tone is part of the image itself, and all five modifiers are supported. Modified versions are the default choice when the sender is talking about their own look.

The five variants

Every variant copies exactly like the base character: tap a card and the sequence is on your clipboard, ready to paste anywhere. Skin-tone modifiers (U+1F3FB–U+1F3FF) were added to the standard in Unicode 8.0 (2015). nail polish itself was added in Emoji E0.6 (2010).

Usage and context

It appears in beauty and self-care contexts, in “before/after” stories and in playful confident replies. A skin-tone modifier makes it your own hand; the yellow default reads as generic or stylized. On some platforms the hand is shown with polish being applied, on others as a finished display — the meaning stays the same.

Entirely benign. Just remember it is about style and self-care, not about criticizing anyone's appearance — keep it on yourself.
