Emoji 17.0

Emoji 17.0 (Unicode 17.0, 2025) is the current release and a big one for people emoji: the distorted face, the fight cloud and the hairy creature lead a batch that adds skin tones to ballet dancers, people with bunny ears and wrestlers — including mixed-tone multi-person sequences. The orca, landslide, trombone and treasure chest complete the set. As with every release, platforms roll the new glyphs out gradually through the following year, so an emoji may look different — or fall back to a placeholder — depending on the app and device you use.
