Emoji 16.0 (Unicode 16.0, 2024) is the smallest release in the standard's history — eight new emoji: the face with bags under eyes, the fingerprint, the leafless tree, the root vegetable, the harp, the shovel, the splatter and the flag of Sark. Quality over quantity, and each one found its niche.
