Emoji 1.0

Emoji 1.0 (Unicode 8.0, 2015) is the first release under the name that stuck. It introduced the five skin-tone modifiers that let every person emoji adapt to any skin color, and expanded the face library with the thinking face, the upside-down face, sunglasses, the halo smile and the zipper mouth. Emoji became a genuinely international language here.
